OLD BOYS AND ORIENTAL.
There was a good muster of enthusiasts at Prince of Wales Park to see Old Boys beat Oriental by two unconverted tries to ' a penalty goal. 'The .backs were given plenty of ball, and between the forwards there was any amount of stern tussling. The teams were: — > : Old Boys: Malcolm; Wylie, Rushbrook, Hughes; M'Donald, Hankins; Bydder; Mit- ; chell; Bray, T. Reynolds, M'Pherson, 1 Hand, Patcrson, Emerson, C. Reynolds. Oriental: Lochore; Foster, Davies, Kelly; Orraond, L. Smith; Jaggers; Hill; Tasker, H. Smith, Graham, Cave, Prmgle, MVMillan, Banks. ' ' Oriental won the toss, and Old Boys kicked off against the wind. From a 1 scrum Jaggers sent the ball out to L. Smith, who "booted" down field, but Wylie relieved. Jaggers's kick from the scrum gained about 30 yards and soon afterwards Malcolm was "penalised, but Priugle failed with the kick. Jaggers was giving bis backs any amount ot the ball/ but Old Boys' defence held, and Bydder found the line with a good luck. The ball came out to Lochore, whose higli kick was driven almost the length ot the field by the wind, and Oriental were within striking distance.
