The absence of the two hookers' was felt by Johnsonville, whose backs did not receive as liberal a- supply of the ball as in previous games. VV ith the wind qt their backs. University managed to hold their own m the first spell, although towards the end Jqhnsonyille had the'-opposition bustled.
