Chumreo was second to last early, but finished teat iv the Autumn Hurdle Eace and won nicely. His owner and trainer, H. W. Ton, prepared Wynetto for her Caulfleld Cup success. His rider, Webster, recently announced his retirement This was his first mount for some months. •: Amounls was second ■ early, but ran to the front in the :stfaiglit in the C. M. Thurlstone was prominent always and won the Ascot Vald Stakes- comfortably. He is a half-brother to Heroic, and is trained by the New Zealander, Lou Robertson.
