The Coal Mines Bill was considered by the House of Commons last night, and it was announced that the Gov^ eminent had decided to adopt the Liberals' proposal to postpone part 1 of the Bill, which includes the proposed marketing scheme. ' . :,--
Mr. Baldwin protested against ths Government's action in not affording an opportunity of longer notice of .the proposed change, resulting from the arrangement between the Government and the Liberal Party. i\ Mr. Lloyd George said that the .proposal was logical, and it vai in accordance with tradition to discuss first supply and then ways and means. ,"
The motion to postpone consideration of part 1 of the Bill was carried by 270 to 131. '
