Councillor Semple, at last evening's meeting of the City Council, asked whether some improvement could not be undertaken at once in Palliser road, Boseneath. He had recently visited the district at the request of the residents, and had found road, paths, and channels in a very bad state indeed. The Mayor replied that provision had been made on the relief works loan; he agreed that improvement was needed, and suggested that the Works Committee should consider the matter of the work being takes, in fraud.
