HONOUR FOR POLICE CHIEF
KEPT ARMED MOB AT BAY

(Received 21st November, 11 a.m.) RUGBY, 20th November. In the House of Commons, answering questions about Palestine, Mr. Lunn said that the King's Police Medal had been awarded Mr. Cafferata, Chief of Police at Hebron, for conspicuous gallantry on 24th August, when ho kept an armed mob at bay single-handed and thus prevented further attacks on the Jews.
The casualties during tho disorders up to 24th September were 207 killed and 379 injured.
