PRETORIA, 19 th November.
The Minister of Justice, Mr. Pirow, in a speech on the subject of tho Durban police raids on natives, revealed a widespread plot instigated by the Third International, calculated to strike a serious blow at the. industrial life of the Union.
The_ Third International, tlie Minister said, had sent written instructions to a number of native labour organisations to "wage a struggle against native Bills and all other forms of oppression, not through petitions, but through revolutionary methods. On 16th December militant demonstrations were to be conducted, and the mines to be penetrated by all possible means." Therefore, Mr. Pirow claimed justification for the Government's action at Durban, which was the chief centre of unrest. Ho added that the Government would at tho earliest date legislate to deal with the agitator who was at the root of the trouble.
