JURY AWARDS £500 DAMAGES

A verdict'in the petitioner's favour was returned in the Supreme Court to-day by the jury which heard the undefended divorce petition of William Alfred Whittall against Gertrude Alice whittall, on the ground of adultery. The.jury also agreed that the petitioner was entitled to recover £500 damages from the co-respondent, Christopher Sydney Joseph Boland, of Wellington. A decree nisi, to be moved absolute after three months, was granted by the Chief Justice (the Hon. M. Myers). M r . R. P.. Smyth appeared for the petitioner.
