MUCH RAIN ABOUT

The anti-cyclone associated, wfyh yesterday's fine weather has moved away; eastward. Falling barometers now herald the approach, from the Tasman Sea of a rather extensive depression. Cloud was in evidence over the country generally this morning, and rain, has already set in at a number of places in. the North Island, and at a few in the South Island.

Light to moderate northerly wind* have ruled, and are forecasted to freshen. The weather is likely to tie dull and unsettled, with much wind op fog, and with rain in most districts. Temperatures will continue to be mild*
