RAILWAY OFFICERS' PROTEST
The following resolution was passed, at a special meeting of the- "Wellington, branch,'of the New Zealand Railway Officers' Institute:—"This meeting of the committee of the "Wellington branch of the New Zealand: Bailway Officers' Institute views with the utmost amazement and disapproval the action of the Legislature in claiming financial stringency as an excuse for 'the non-restoration of the salary cuts, and at the.same time withdrawing additional moneys, pseudbnymousTy classified as an allowance, from the alleged ill-filled coffer's of State for the personal benefit of the members of such' Legislature."
