HUTT v. HUIA.

Hutt and Huia were very evenly matched in the game played on the Hutt Recreation Ground, and the final score 2-all was a good indication of the run of the play. Both teams had their emergencies in action, but the general standard of the

game, and the combination of the players were good The first goal followed a combined forward rush by Huia, Diaper netting with a good shot from the centre of the circle. Just before half-time a penalty corner against Huia enabled Hodgkinson to even the scores. I v the second spell play fluctuated considerably, and there was little spectacular work by individual players. Bennett put Hnia in the lead again by netting a fast bail after a combined attack. Hodgkiusou saved the day for Hutt, however, by scoring from a general mix-up in the Huia circle. The game ended: Hutt 2, Huia 2. Mr. W. Purvis refereed.
