The villainy of "Scarlet Seas Is perpetrated by Jack Curtis. .The "pious old hypocrite" rolo of Johnson in "Scarlet facas is enacted by James Bradbury, son., a character man of popularity both In stage and screen. Apia's Intriguing atmosphere is the background of the picture. The village of Apia was especially built on the Isthmus at Cntnllna Island for "Scarlet Seas. I lie Him offers Barthelmcss an unusual part, and one that only Bartliclmcss can essay in the finest traditions of cinematograph acting. Scarlet Seas" is a tale of the open sea, teeming with tbo vivid colour of the South Seas, trading in smuggled goods, rough-and-tumble fights, and many other spectacular sequences.
