At a meeting of tho Board of Hie New- Zealand Trotting Association a letter .was received from J; V. Dyke complaining that he had not been allowed to ask questions at the Wellington Trotting Club's inquiry into his driving of Halmore at Hutt Park. As a result of the inquiry he was fined £3 for alleged undue use of the whip and lack of control of Halmore, and was severely cautioned. It v was decided to refer the matter to the Wellington Club with an instruction that he be given an opportunity of asking questions and caling evidence if such facili-, ties had not already been granted him.
