PETONE COURT

Messrs. R. W. Short and T. Potts, J.P.s, presided at the Petone Court yesterday. For speeding, Daniel Burke, Alfred William Duncan, and Elizabeth P. Gilkison were each fined £2. The same offence cost John Richard Pearson 30s and William Young £1. On a charge of leaving a car unattended for longer than the prescribed time, Archibald Robert Brooker was convicted aud ordered to pay 10s costs. Judgment for plaintiffs by default was given in the following undefended civil cases:—L. Jcnness c. E. C. Harrison, £4 2s lOd; L. Stewart v. A. J. Garner, £13 10s; Mrs. E. Coozc v. E. Burk, £4 12a 6d; Hutt Cabinet Co., Ltd.,,y. F. Nunn, £1 ss.
