BROADCASTING THE NEWS

In the Houso pf Representatives yesterday ' Mr. T. E.. Y. Seddon (Westland) , asked the Postmaster-General whether any arrangements were being made through the Telegraph Department to broadcast particulars of the Southern Cross flight. • The Hon. 11. S. Williams replied that tho P. and T. Department expected to be in close touch by wireless with tho airplane during tho whole of tho flight. There might be some difficulty in picking up the short-wave messages when tlie machine was Hearing New Zealand, but arrangements were being made for the broadcasting stations to send out all information that was available regarding the progress of the flight. If possible, a more definite statement would be made to-day.
