PREPARATIONS IN CHRISTCHURCH (By Telegraph.—l'rcss Association.) CHRISTCHUKCH, This Day. Carpful preparations have been made iv Christchurch for welcoming tho aviators. It is expected that • the largest crowd that has ever assembled in tho city will bo present at Sockburn when the Southern' Gross appears over the Southern Alps. Full preparations havo been made by the tramways and railways for handling largo crowds of people, and elaborate means havo been prepared for I dealing witli motor traffic. Districts about the city have been divided,- and motors will have to keep within their j own zones, each of which will bo identified by a distinctive colour. Everything possible is being done to ensure that all will bo able to see the.landing perfectly, but at tho same timeevery precaution has to be taken to i ensure the safety of all.
