Apache life in Paris, with- a romantic story, ■re the features of "Triumph of the Rat," to be •hown finally to-night at the Paramount Theatre. Abundant scope Is given to Ivor Novello. Pierre Boucheron, tho famous Apache leader, known as "the Rat," now in society, is is league with Zelle "do Chaumet, who in her torn 1> in league with Henry Mercereau, who keeps her supplied with abundant funds in order that she may keep her place In society. Pierre makes a wager that he will win the love of Madeleine de L'Orme (a society beauty), in a month. He succeeds, but also falls in love with Madeleine, and decides to run straight. Zelle hears or this, and uses all her Influence to ruin Pierre by keeping him out of employment. The programme includes a comedy, "The Kiss Doctor," and an interesting ."Topical" of prominent world happenings. There is a fine musical programme. ' "Man Crazy," an amusing romance ol New England, will be shown' at the Paramount Theatre to-morrow. The picture features Dorothy Mackaill and Jack Mulhall. . Miss Mackaill is cast as the grand-daughter of an aristocratic old lady of one of the "fine fam- ' Hies" of New England. She horrifies her grandmother by establishing a "hot dog" stand on the.Boston Post road to help out a crip-. plea boy. Then Mulhall falls In love with the pretty "waitress." From that point compli-. ! cations come thick and fast. "Man Crazy" is ;' from Grace Sartwell Mason's famous "Saturday Evening Post" story, "Clarissa'and the Post Road." Included in the capable cast are Edythe Chapman, Phillips Smallcy, ' Walter M'Grail, Ray Bailor, and many others.
