SEQUEL TO COLLISION

MOTORIST AWARDED DAMAGES

Judgment' for the plaintiff for £64, with costs, was given by Mr. W. G Biddell, 8.M., in tho Magistrate's Court to-day, in the case in which A. H. Winter, linesman, of Kilbirnie, claimed damages from' the British Imperial-Oil Co. (N.Z.), Ltd., as the result'of a collision between his motor-car and another'driven by an employee of tho defendant company. The plaintiff's claim was for £.54 repairs and £20 general damages. In giving his decision, tho Magistrato said the evidence had shown that tho defendant's car had swerved, and had given tho plaintiff no opportunity to avoid a collision.

At the hearing, Mr. A...T. Mazengarb appeared for • the plaintiffs and Mr. H. P. O'Leary for the defendant company.
