ANOTHER COLD NIGHT

Atmospheric pressure has been high over the Dominion, but'there was evidence this morning of a disturbance being situated off East Cape. The weather has been cold and fair generally, although scattered showers have fallen in the Northern and Southernmost districts. Rain was also reported this morning on the East Coaßt between East Cape and Napier. Southerly winds are likely to increase in and northward of Cook Strait, while moderate to fresh south-westerly winds should prevail elsewhere. Cold and changeable weather, with scattered showers, is forecasted for the North Island. Heavy rain is probable in the Gisborne and Hawkes Bay districts.
