SHIPPING HELD UP

The strong south-easterly gales around the coast have caused several minor delays.'to; coastal shipping. The Kamona, from Greymouth, which was due at Wellington, at 10 o 'clock yesterday morning, did not arrive here until 9 o'clock last night. Very heavy weather was reported as she was rounding Stephens Island.

The Komata also reported heavy head winds on her trip from Westport, and arrived at Wellington at 2 o'clock this morning instead of the expected 9 o'clock last night. . The Echo and the Wairau, -which both left Wellington for Blenheim early this morning, had to put back owing to the bad weather.
