HAWEEA, This Day. The Opunake Bating Club's Annual Meeting opened in dull'and .showery weather at Pihama to-day. The track is in good order, and there is a fair attendance. Besults:—
Hack Hurdles Handicap, of 200 soys; one mile and a half. —1 Euchre, 10.4, 1; 2 Anchor, 9.6, 2; 3 Sea View, 9.3, 3. Scratched: Take Take, Festive. Won by four lengths. Time, 2min 53 4-ssec. Maiden Plate, of 100 soys; six and a half furlongs.—3 Anolo, 9.0, 1; 5 Takini, 8.3, 2; 2 Monsogne, 8.3,. 3. Scratched: Lady Acre, Fortalice. Won by half a length. Time, lmin 26sec.
