PAEEOA, This Day. The annual meeting of the Ohinemuri Jockey Club opened in dull and threatening weather. There is . a large attendance. Besults:—
Handicap Hurdles, of 200 soys; one mile and a half.—Gold Bein, 9.3,1; Lady Spalpeen, 9.0, 2; Eangatahi, 10.5, 3. All started. Won by half a length. Time, 2min 47 3-osee.
Karangahake Handicap, of 200 soys; five furlongs.—Carinthia, 7.13, 1; Exalted, 7.2, 2; Mussie 7.0, 3. Scratched: Ti Tree, Valroe, Yellow Bonnet. Won by a head. Time, lmin 4 3-ssec. Golden Wedding and Adoree were left at the post.
Novice Handicap, of 150 soys; six furlongs.—King Arch, 8.9, 1; Te Kawana, 8.11, 2; Arinagour, 7.3, 3. Scratched: Bespirator, Ambrosia, Dimmer, Harvest Day, Catmor, Luminary, Queen Bewa, Velma Day, Venus Abbey. Won by a long neck. Time, lmin 19sec.
