CHRISTCHURCH, This Bay. A claim for £1000 on the ground, of alleged libel will be heard at the next civil sittings of the Supreme Court in Christchurch. William Victor Sanvig is the. plaintiff, and W. B. M'llveney, Commissioner of Police, is the defendant. It is alleged that the libel was in a, notice in the "Police Gazette."
