A REVOLUTIONARY BAND
ORGANISED FEOM PARIS,
LONDON, 3rd November. A raessago from Paris states that seventeen persons of Spanish, English, and Italian nationality were arrested at the railway Btation. in Millas, eleven miles from Perpignan. Two Spaniards with bombs in their possession fled. The leader of the revolutionary band is stated to be Jose Carillon, who was born in 1902 in Barcelona. At present he is foreman of a sugar refinery and lives in Boulogne-sur-Seine. It is reported he has been in relation with Francisco Hagia, a former colonel in the Spanish army, and a one-time member of the Cortes. It is alleged that on leaving Paris, Carillon received from a.man named Baxon Munster 27,000 francs and an envelope containing instructions which he was not to read until he reached the frontier. The conspirators' plan was to assemble at Estagel, Bataille, and Millas, whence they were to take train to Villefranehe, whence they would be directed across the frontier. On arrival in Spain they wore to launch a revolutionary movement.
