The weather was fine for the final fast gallops at Riccarton this morning, and a lot o£ interesting work was done on the outside of the course proper. Commendation, with Mime and ManyColours as mates at different stages, went seven furlongs in lmin 29sec, a first-rate gallop. Fool's Paradise and Buoyant sprinted over half » mile in 50 2-ssec. Shirley went six furlongs in Imin 16 l-ssec. Pink Note and Pink Terrace covered seven furlongs in lmin 34 l-ssec. ' Rapine, with Star Stranger as mate over the last mile, galloped a mile and a quarter in 2min 11 l-ssec. Rapine finished well. ' . Precious sprinted half a mile in 49 3-5 sec. ■".■;■ Grand Knight covered six furlongs in lmin 16seci Nadarino was his mate over the last five furlongs. Centrepiece, with assistance over the last part, went six furlongs in lmin 10 . 2-ssee. Moorland covered sis furlongs nicely in lmin 15 3-ssec. Tanadees beat Hynanna, with Enare several lengths away, at the end of a mile. Mireusonta sprinted half a mile very easily on the plough in 51 3-ssec. Starflight and Bolero dashed over five furlongs in lmin 3 l-ssec. Reremoana easily beat Lady Desmond over five furlongs in lmin 4 l-ssec. Seatbwn and Pliaola were together at the end of a mile, covered in lmin 44 1-5 sec. Zarisee started with them, but was beaten off. Santiago and Revel were schooled over five hurdles, and gave a good exhibition. Rangi Sarto, Coastguard, and North Inch schooled well over five hurdles. Tarleton, Goosestep, and Full Swing galloped a mile and a quarter in 2miu 11 4-ssec. Full Swing began slowly, but wore the others down in the straight. Goosestep carried a big weight. High Pitch easily beat iltouex over seven furlongs in lmin 30sec. High Gear was going better than Countersign at the end' of a mile and a quarter, covered in 2min, 14sec. Sayonara and Black Cruiser went nine furlongs, and Inferno, under a pull, dashed over six furlongs. Count Cavour, Desert Glow, and Beacon Light galloped a mile and a quarter. Beacon Light, after a slow start, joined the other pair. At the end of two furlongs Count Cavour was in front over a furlong from home, but Desert Glow caught him on the post. Beacon Light was two lengths away. The time was 2min llsec—a good gallop. Set Sail, Comic Song, and Glentruin finished in that order at two-length intervals at the end of six furlongs, covered in lmin 14 3-ssec. Footfall covered a mile alone in lmin 46 3-ssec. Killocra beat Vesperus over six furlongs in lmin 15 3-ssec. Kalakaua and Monoxide went a mile in lmin 45 2-ssec. Circulation sprinted six furlongs in lmin 14 2-ssec. Booster sprinted half a mile in 49 3-5 sec. Captain Sarto jumped two hurdles well. Ravenna and Overdrawn galloped a mile and a quarter easily in 2min 15 3-ssec. Heather Lad, John Bradbury, Arch Royal, Money Mine, Money Peer, Arpent, Bachelor Gay, and Captain Sarto arrived last night from the South. Nukumai, Novar, Gleninnis, BronsteU, Bonhomme, Car-

awock, Lady Passenger, Orchid, Pangolin, and First Acre arrived from the North this morning.
