LADIES' HOCKEY
DOMINION TOURNAMENT,

INVERCARGILL, This Day
All the teams participating in the New Zealand Ladies' Championship Hockey Tournament have arrived with the exception of Wellington. All the arrangements for the tournament are well in hand, and everything augers for a successful week. The weather has been fine for a whole week, and the conditions this evening point to a continuance. The North Island v. South Island match will be played on Thursday afternoon, and the finals of the Mille Memorial Cup.. 100 yards hockey players' race will be held on the same day. The teams were tendered an official reception 1 by the Mayor, Mr. Andrew Bain, this evening. There has been no difficulty in securing billets for members of the teams. The public responded readily to the .appeal, and all are now housed in various parts of the town.
The selectors for the North Island team are Miss Rasmussen, Messrs. A.W. Soundy and W. Scott; and the South Island selectors are Messrs. R. Surgenor, W. Gow, and J. Martin.
