OLD BOYS' MEMORIAL

FOUNDATION STONE CEREMONY.

The foundation stone of the Wellington College Old Boys War Memorial Hall will be laid by His Excellency the GovernorGeneral on Friday next at 3 p.m. The ceremony will be held on the college grounds, and among those taking part will be the chairman of the Board of Governors (Mr. W. H. P. Barber), the president o£ the Old Boys' Association (Dr. J. S. Elliott), the Minister of Education (the Hon. R. A. Wright), Mr. J. P. Firth, C.M.G., the Bishop of Wellington, and the headmaster of Wellington College (Mr. T. R. Cresswell,. M.A.). Funds to aid in the erection of the nail, and for its interior embellishment, have been subscribed freely uy old boys, pupils, and parents; and it is hoped that the edifice will he not only a noble memorial of a great war effort, but will have an enduring influence upon, the life and work of the school.
