MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Police cases in the Magistrate's Court this morning were dealt with by Messrs. A. Waterworth and J. A. M'Grath, J.P. s. Lionel George Hood, a labourer, aged 29, was fined 55,, in. default twenty-four hours' imprisonment, for drunkenness, and £1 for failing to pay his taxi hire. He was also, ordered to pay 5s 3d to the taxidriver, James Robert Billings. Samuel Greenhall, a second offender for drunkenness, was fined £1, in default two days' imprisonment. A first offender for drunkenness was fined ss.
A first offender for drunkenness was faed 10s, the amount of his bail, by Mr. G. Anyon, J.P., in the Mount Cook Police Court this morning.
