CRICKET
KILBIRNIE CLUB.
. The annual report of the Kilbirnie Cricket Club, to be presented at the annual meeting in the Kilbirnie Hall on Wednesday evening, shows that the committee was well satisfied with the club's seniors during their first season in senior cricket. The committee compliments the senior team upon its smart appearance on the field, and also upon its very excellent fielding. The performance all round, it was felt, would have been better still but for the unfortunate accidents to two members of the team. The club was not successful in winning any of the grade championships, this being attributed to the fact that the majority of members were playing in a grade higher than in the previous season. This advance in grade came about through the club's promotion to senior status. The committee is confident that with strict attention to practice the club will be back in its old position of winners of several grades. It is hoped to make the coming season even more successful. The balance-sheet shows the club to be in a very healthy financial condition.
