JOY-RIDING

♦ YOUNG MAN PUNISHED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day. At the Police Court there appeared Edward Henry • Leatharo Quintal, aged 20, Rudolph Paul Ivitanovich, aged 19, a-nd Joseph Hoares, aged 20, who participated in a joy ride on Saturday night, involving the borrowing of »hree cars. The former was charged with illegally converting to his own use three cars, and the others with being in the car. Mr. J. W. Poynton, S.M., sentenced Quintal, who had taken full blame, to three months in gaol, on one charge, and admitted him to probation for three years on another. The other accused were discharged.
