_ Ihe popular Violet Assembly is hold- ' ing carnival to-night in the Early Sot tiers' Hall. Miss Murphy's Orchestra ull supply the latest music, and the iioor wil be in perfect order. Twelve prizes will be given away, as well as twenty pnzes in the lucky waltz compe lition. .Streamers and balloons will be distributed free. _ The popular Britannia Jazz Assembly is holdmg.its weekly jazzing in T7,e Early Settlers Hall, Abel Smith street, on Monday night.
