QUEEN'S THEATRE.
A picturisation of William J. Locke's famous novel, "The Tale of Triona, 1" under the title of "The Fools' Awakening," found favour at the change of programme-at the Qusen's Theatre lastevening. The story .deals with (he ad ventures of a. young Englishman named John Briggs, who has been employed as chauffeur to a Bussian nobleman. His association with the aristocracy leads him into dangerous waters, and he is imprisoned. With that amazing agility for which motion picture heroes are noted, he manages- to escape into Poland, and in a forest there he finds the diary of a dead officer telling'of the man's thrilling adventures in. the revolution. He returns to England, and poses as the dead officer, Alexis Triona. All goes well until he falls in love, and then conscience playa a part. Feeling that he cannot deceive the girl of his heart as to his identity, he leaves town, but fate steps into the breach and is the means of his being restored to his future- wife. There is a happy ending. Harrison Ford and Enid Bennett are the featured artists, and they received excellent support from a strong cast of prominent players. Included in. the programme is an amusing comedy, a news film, and a scenic production. .
