The demand for butter and cheese has not been stimulated by the reduced prices, and market is slow. Danish is selling largely .to America and Germany. ' ■ • BUTTER. Market continues slow. Official quotations are:— New Zealand: Finest, salted, 180s to 184s per cwt (Is 7^d to Is 7Jd per lb); exceptional, 186s per cwt (Is od per lb) • unsalted, 180s to. 184s per. cwt (Is 7jd to Is 7gd per lb); other qualities, 160s to 178s per cwt (Is s^d to Is 7d per lb). Australian: Salted, finest, 170s to 174s per cwt (Is 6id to Is 6£d per lb) ; unsalted, 170s to 174s per cwt (Is 6^d to Is 6±d per lb); other qualities, salted 150s to 163s per cwt (Is 4£d to Is 6d per lb), unsalted 150s to 166s per cwt (Is 43d to Is 5Jd per lb); Argentine: 1605,-1625, up to 164s per cwt (Is s£d to Is 5Jd per lb);-other qualities, 140s to 158s per cwt (Is 3d to Is 5d per lb). ■ ...
