LONDON, 22nd November.
The "Morning Post's" Paris correspondent says: "A few weeks ago the German newspapers announced that the Ministry of War at Berlin was experimenting with, an invention to bring aeroplanes and motor-cars to a sudden stop though a considerable distance away.
The War Ministry issued orders that the newspapers should not refer to the matter again.
"La. Liberte" reveals that a French engineer has a similar invention. By •means of a- system of electric coils, recalling the American electrocutor, he can stop motor-propelled vehicles in the street. He asked his friends to'stand at a window and tell him what vehicle they wanted to stop. The engineer touched a lever and a taxi-cab instantly stopped.
