WORLD COURT OF JUSTICE
DEPUTATION TO UNITED STATES PRESIDENT.
(UNITSP PRESB ASSOCIATION.—COPYRIGHT.)
WASHINGTON, 21st November. A delegation of prominent churchmen, representing thirty Protestant communions, with twenty million members, personally presented a petition to President Coolidge, asking him to use his influence to make the United States a member of the Permanent International Court of Justice.
The Helegation also expressed satisfaction with Mr. C. E. Hughes's efforts to convene a conference to inquire into Germany's financial condition, and urged that the United States call an economic conference to deal with conditions in Europe. President Coolidge thanked the visitors, and promised to give the request due consideration.
