BAPTIST CONFERENCE

A large number of delegates to the conference of the New Zealand Baptist Union went on an excursion to Day's Bay by the 1.20 boat this afternoon. J.here will be a concert in the Vivian street church in the evening, in which the combined choirs will take part. ■Special services have been arranged for to-morrow.

The conference ■ Sunday preachers at the Brooklyn Baptist Church will be the Rev. H. K. Kempton, of Dunedin, morning; and the Rev. J. K. Archer, Christchurch, evening.
