The weather is showery for the gallops at Flemington, the going being dead. Rivoli and Trentcourt ran nine furlongs in 2min lOsec. Norse Song was best over six furlongs on the cinders, in lmin 19jsec. Ouverte did a mile in lmin 53jsec. Heir Apparent and Pengarie ran a mile on the tan in lmin 53sec. Lamart did six furlongs in lmin 21sec, Paratoo a mile iv lmiu 524 set, Kenilcost a mile in'lmin 51sec, Blue Ocean a mile on the cinders in lmin 46' sec, Gungool and Swiftshure a mile in lmin 49sec, Gunadorah a mile in lmin 48sec. Bitalli and King Ingoda did useful work.
At CaulSeld the going was heavy. Whittier did useful work. David ran two f-irlongs in 28secs, and Black Scot and Wirrable two furlongs in 25£ sec. The Cypher cantered. Coleus did two furlongs in 26secs.
