ROTARY AND THE BOYS
Activities in the interests of the boys of Wellington have been an important feature ol the work of the Rotary Club, which, with an eye to the future, realises the necessity of catering for the' men of the years to some. The work of inculcating into the minds of the young some of the ideals of good citizenship should commend itself to all right-think-ing citizens. On Friday next the Wellington Rotary Club will commence another boys' week-end, and arrangements for ensuring success are well under way. Friday night will be marked by a monster gathering of boys of the fourth, fifth, and sixth standards at the Town Hall, where a true Rotary programme of selected pictures, musical items, and five-minute talks by prominent citizens will be provided. There must 'be many Wellington boys who retain very pleasant memories of the Rotary entertainment last year, and it seems to be assured that' the Town Hall will once again be crowded to the doors next Friday evening. It is not proposed to undertake a sports gathering for the boys this year, and Saturday, in consequence, will be a free day. On Sunday the spiritual needs of the boys will be catered for, and the various religious associations have been approached with a view to arranging suitable services on that day.
