TARANAKI JERSEY OAKS.
NEW PLYMOUTH, 7th March. The Taranaki Show opened to-day witli^ large entries of stock of excellent quality. The principal championships were confined to local breeders. The first Taranaki Jersey Oaks resulted:— A. J. O'Donnell's (Hawera) Perfection of Rosy Creek, 1; A. L. Hooper's (Mahoe) Viola's Frisky, 2; F. W. Cornwall's (Bell Block) Oakland's Belle Mahone, 3.
