Liqueur 9 13 Loved One .... 9 2 Big Push 9 10 Gold Pan ,9.0 A possible reason for the falling of a number of .horses at the. post and rails fence, in the Wellington Steeplechase on Saturday, is supplied by a police officer, who witnessed a similar occurrence at Eiccarton some years ago. At the time of the race on Saturday, he states, the sun was bright, though sinking low, and the obstacle was so situated, that the horses, in approaching it, had to face the sun's rays. A view of the obstacle would, therefore, be difficult.
