An exciting match in connection with tile Working Men's Club billiard championship (games of 250 up) took place on Thursday evening between H. Muiv phy and A. E. Tapn., both well known in local billiards circles. Murphy won after a good keen struggle, Tapp scoring 187 The largest breaks wereI:—JVlurphy 60, 41, 19; Tapp 31, 26, 21, 19. The semi-final will be played next week.
