WANGANUI, 2nd June,

As yet/there are no further developments in connection with the murder* of the elderly" Chinaman, Chow Yet, at Long Acre on Wednesday night. The police made a very exhaustive search of; the locality to-day without any definite result. The known facts are as stated previously. It is positive that the murderer carried his victim from where he fatally shot him to the spot where *he body was found. There the dead man's pockets were rifled. Close by were the empty purge and some folded pieces of paper.
