PALMERSTON N,, This Day. In connection with the charge preferred against William Davidson, alleging that at Palmerston North, on 17th April, being the occupier of certain premises, he did use the same for the purpose of betting with sundry persons by telephone, thereby keeping a common betting-house, and also of keeping a common gaming-house, the Magistrate (Mr. Stout) held that there was no evidence to show that Davidson personally accepted any bets over the telephone^ and dismissed the charges. \./'
