Somers Edwards, aged 27 (who won the D.C.M. during tho ■wax), when attempting to board a train tit Otahuhu, fell between two carriages. The train was pulled up promptly, and Edwards was. found between a carriage and the station platform. He was unconscious, and partly stripped of his clothing. He was conveyed to the hospital, where an operation was performed, and he is in, a serious condition.
