THE PETONE CLUB
' The committee- of the Pofcone Club, in ite annual report, states that last season was the most successful since that of 1907, when tho club established a record—a championship from each team. Although tho record of 1907 was* not equalled last) season, the club annexed the senior, fourth, and sixth class championships, and supplied the runnors-up in the junior and fifth grades. The 9enior fifteen again won tho seven-a-side tourney. The senior team played 13 games, 12 of which thej won, scoring 303 points, and having 103 points scored against them. The record of the fourth-class .team was 13 wins out of 13 games played, and 202 points for and 20 against. The sixth-class team played seven games, six of which were won and one'drawn. The report considers the financial position of the club—a credit balance of £103 5a 3d—to)be excellent. Fourteen members of the senior team gained provincial representative honours. In conclusion, the report places on record the services rendered tho club by the following: —Tho St. John. Ambulance Association, Messrs. A. Coles, C. Collett, A. May, W. Hay, R. Cowon, A. Cowie, J. H.'Donovan, F. J. Swindell, E. C. Corner, C. Green H. Love, M. W. Welch, M. Haslam, 0.J3. Hobb, H. Ryder, W. Donovan, 3. H. Lynskey, J. T. O. Stevens, and A. Sniilie.
