ORIENTAL CLUB'S ANNUAL MEETING
Members of the Oriental Rugby, Football Club held thoir annual meeting in Dustin's Rooms, Cuba-etreot, last evening. It was statsd in the report that Last seaEon the club placed five teams in the field —senior, junior, third, fourth, and fifth. Although no championships were won, the teams all did well, the junior and fourth grade teams especially so, due to the fact that they were efficiently coached by Messrs. Jackson (junior) and Roy (fourth). In this respect the committee appealed to all old members of the club to offer their services, as at present the club found great difficulty in obtaining coaches at all. In regard to the club's finance, the position this year could be regarded as very satisfactory, and the club's thanks were due to Dr. Levy, Messrs. Patrick, Mann, M'Uwraith, Hornig, Pearce,. and Jordan for donations. The players' subecriptionn came in fairly well, but there were still a number (younger members especially) who should remember that to pay his subscription. was the first duty of every footballer. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £52. Twenty-two new members were elected. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follow:—President, Mr. Kinvig (reelected) ; viee-preeidonts, Messrs. T. Bar-' raclough, Hull, Brctfrc, Herb. Price, Harry Dodson, B. Kmicane, D. Levy, Dr. M'Evedy, Dr. Nelson, Captain Grover, Major Farr, F. B. Bolt, W. H.- Nimmo, J. Brown, Bunokenburg, H. Paton, B. Wylio, M'Leod, Hornig, L. B. Jordan, M'llwraith, Pearce, Meffith, Mann, Marris, and Suckling; secretary, Mr. G. Shearman; treasurer, Mr. J. B. Wateoaj - club captain, Mr. A. Jackson j committee, Messrs. Gair, Pearce, M'llwraith, Hornig, and Roy; delegates, Messrs. Little, Hornig, and M'Leod; auditors, Messrs. Thome and K. Shaw; gymnasium committee, Messrs. Allen, Pearce, Ormandy, Matthews, Avery, Maxwell, and Elli«.
