AMATEUR ATHLETICS
Preparations for the combined amateur athletic sports meeting in ' Wellington were made at a meeting of delegates representing the Wellington Amateur Athletic Club, the Victoria University Club, and the AthloHo Club held last evening. Mr. A. Marryatt presided. Various committees were elected. It was reported that the Basin Reserve had been obtained for the sports meeting on 12th March. G. Davidson, of Auckland, was invited to compete, as wore- also ffi. H. Taylor, .1. M. Carrick, C. Batstone, and C. M. Walden, members of the Canterbury team competing at Auckland on sth March. Mr. R. W. Shallcrass was appointed secretary.
