At a meeting of the New Zealand! Trotting Association to-day, Mr. H. W. Kitchingham drew attention to. the inadequate stakes given for trotting events at many racing clubs' meetings. He moved that in future no programmes be passed unless trotting events be of the same average value as galloping evente. This was carried, and! it was decided to circularise clubs in the direction indicated.
