TROTTER RIBBONWOOD DEAD
A Sydney cable message states that the famous tvotter Ribbonwood is dead. Ribbon-wood, who was sent to Australia, from New Zealand, was by Wildwood. He was very successful on the track ami in the show ring.

Itoyal Stag won both classic races, andi it will not be surprising- if Turf history repeats itself in the case of Winter Wina, who has been successful in his only previous appearance this season at Ashbui'ton. Another recent winner engagedl is Listening Post, who was successful nf. Gißraldine. He ran secondl to Winter Wind in the Middle Park Plate, *nd: will probably be the latter's most dangerous opponent at Wingatui.
