The match was expeoted to be the greatest in the history of the Amerioa-n Turf. The distanca was a mile and a-quarter- Man-o'-war is a chestnut three-year-old and carried 8.8. Sir Barton is a chestnut four-year-old, and carried 9.0. He is owned by a Canadian, and Man-o'-war by an .American. Besides the 75,000 dollar purse, a 5000 dollar gold cup goes to the winner.
